I turned forty this year, and I had an idea for a big project that I would create leading up to my birthday in the middle of July. I would write a six chapter comic about all the places I’ve lived in my life, and release it daily for the forty days leading up to the big day. Making things has always been at my core so it would be easy to write a story about something I’d made in each city, but I wanted something special for this one. We are defined just as much by our failures as we are by our successes. It made sense then, that each of the chapters should be not just about me, or about something that I made, but about something that came out poorly. Often because of lack of planning or experience.

“If you don’t work beyond your capabilities, you will not grow.” I’ve created a lot of terrible projects in my life, but also a lot of pretty okay ones. I’m forty, and a working professional artist, so I must have done something right along the way. I’m looking forward to sharing these pages with you as I finish coloring them all to get them ready for print.

Thank you for supporting my work! By purchasing artwork from my etsy shop, supporting me through Patreon, or just by showing up, commenting and sharing you make this and other personal projects possible. I can’t thank you enough for that.
